Two new pilates enthusiasts ready for their first Miuko reformer session

Your journey starts here.
This guide will show you how to set up your Miuko Reformer and begin training confidently at home

Follow the simple steps below to set up, store, and maintain your reformer for years of enjoyable Pilates workouts.

Unboxing (if received from courier)
  1. Carefully open the box by bending open the metal clips on the lid using a flathead screwdriver or pliers, then lift and remove the lid completely.
  2. Remove the jumpboard and set it aside safely.
  3. Lift the footbar straight upward — pull it gently in the opposite direction of its current angle to tilt it up and back, creating space to remove the carriage.
  4. Remove the main carriage carefully, leaving the main frame inside the box for now.
  5. Take out the smaller box containing your Pilates box and accessories, as well as the Pilates ring.
  6. Move the footbar back down to the position closest to the rails to keep it out of the way.
  7. Gently tilt the entire shipping box upright so the reformer’s transport wheels are positioned toward the ground, whilst making sure the reformer does not fall out.
  8. Pull the main frame out using the wheels to assist movement.
  9. Inspect all parts for any signs of damage or shipping issues before continuing to the next section.
  10. If you notice any damage, please email Miuko Support with clear photos of the affected area before proceeding with setup.

Setting Up Your Reformer
  1. Unfold the reformer frame by carefully stepping inside, expanding it outward, and lowering it slowly.
  2. Add both of the provided stoppers to the rails before proceeding. You have the choice of one position on top of the rails or two positions further away on the inside of the rails. Add stoppers
  3. Install the carriage on the rails if not already installed, ensuring correct orientation with the springs facing the spring attachment end.
  4. Remove spring(s) from storage clips by lifting them upwards and hooking them to the spring attachment points. We recommend starting with one or two springs. The colours indicates different tension levels, red being the heaviest, green medium and yellow light. Any springs tension can also be increased by hooking it to the higher spring attachment point.Connecting the springs
  5. Insert the shoulder pads aligning them vertically with their slots (there are two width options to choose from) and screw in the carriage sled handles. Carriage handles
  6. Insert pulley wheel attachments by aligning pins through the carriage and into pulley pole holes. Choose between three different heights.
  7. Thread the ropes through the pulley wheels, loop the straps around the shoulder pads, remove any excess slack and secure the ropes using the clips/cleats.
  8. Rope setup
  9. Adjust rope length to preference.
  10. Add optional accessories: jump-board or t-bar.
  11. ⚠️ Important: Always support the jumpboard at the rear with the footbar in the correct position. Failure to do so may cause damage. Jumpboard support warning Secure both the t-bar and jumpboard using the rear screw knobs. Screw t-bar
  12. Add optional accessories: foot-strap Footstrap install
  13. Check everything is tight and secure before your first use.
Folding and Storing Your Reformer
  1. Remove the stoppers from the rails.
  2. Unclip all springs and place them securely in their storage clips.
  3. If your model has stopper bumpers on top of the rail near the spring attachments, the T-bar can stay in place; otherwise, remove it.
  4. Permanent carriage stopper
  5. Remove the jumpboard if installed.
  6. Move the carriage all the way to the end of the rails and set the footbar flat on the bed, making sure it locks into place. Footbar locked
  7. Remove straps and pulley wheels for slimmer storage.
  8. Step inside the upper section of the carriage and carefully lift the center bar upward.
  9. Step out over the rear section once the reformer is nearly upright.
  10. Folded reformer
  11. Tilt slightly backward to roll or cart it to your desired location.
  12. Pulley wheel attachments can be stored underneath the carriage. Pulley storage
Maintaining Your Reformer

To keep your Miuko Reformer performing like new, wipe it down with a soft cloth after each use. Avoid sweat build-up on metal and leather surfaces. Check screws and fittings monthly and tighten if needed. Store in a dry indoor space away from direct sunlight or moisture.
